    Overview

The MISTRAL test site is dedicated to the test of floating offshore wind prototypes located 6 km off the coast, in the Gulf of Fos close to Marseille. Due to its location, developers will be able to benefit from the existing facilities and industry capabilities of the Fos-Marseille harbour area to support the different stages going from manufacture to decommissioning. This test site is intended to test prototypes in real conditions and improve the efficiency of floating wind turbines energy prototypes and/or equipment associated (floater, meteorological or grid instruments,…).
